Project 4 - Uganda: Support to South Sudanese Refugees

Due to the conflict, violence, and drought in South Sudan, almost 1.6 million people have fled to neighboring countries and the majority of them are hosted in Uganda. As of June 2017, Uganda hosted a total of 966,822 South Sudanese refuges with 282,046 having arrived since January 2017. 86% of the refugee population are women and children under the age of 18. The Salvation Army in Uganda has completed a small sanitation project for the refugees and is in the process of implementing another one, but the need for further financial assistance has become imperative. Your gift will help support much needed non-food items such as jerry cans, washing basins, soap, sauce pans, cups and plates for the refugees entering Uganda.
