For the third year in a row, the Rekstad family will be competing in the Salvation Army's: MN's Most Amazing Race Competition. We are looking to raise funds through this team page to support MN's Salvation Army's food and housing programs. 100% of funds donated go directly to this charity.
In 2015, David and DJ (Team RekSTUD) placed 10th in qualifying and 17th in the final competition among 85 teams overall that competed.
In 2016, the Rekstads went young and finished 4th out of 30 teams in the "Gold Division" only 30 seconds and 3 minutes behind the 2nd and 3rd place teams respectively.
With added experience, the brothers are confident that they can improve on last year's performance. The Rekstads controversially did not play their Fast Forward opting to wait for the final challenge which did not occur.
In 2017, the brothers are back and ready to raise the ante both in the race and online in fundraising. Our goal is to raise $2,500 this year. We will again be racing in the "Gold Division" finals for a chance at glory!
With your support we can continue to lead a helping hand to The Salvation Army Hope Harbor in downtown Minneapolis and help Mitchell and I prove that House Rekstad belongs on season 8 of Thrones!
