Want a day of adventure and fun without all the pressure of racing? Be a MOST Amazing Race volunteer! Race volunteers are assigned to one or more challenge locations in Downtown Raleigh to set-up and clean-up challenges, judge teams, regulate team traffic, and even test the challenges themselves. Volunteers also help with starting line registration. We need more than 100 volunteers each year to make this event run smoothly.
Anyone who is ready to have fun and willing to be active. Volunteers should be at least 18 years of age. Kids ages 8 to 17 are welcome with an adult.
Volunteers are needed at various locations at various times throughout the course of the race. Volunteers should plan on checking in at registration at 8:30 am before moving to their designated locations. A few days prior to the event, volunteers will be informed of their specific assignments.
Several days before the race, volunteers will receive an email with an assigned, top-secret location and exact arrival time. On race day, they meet our staff captain(s) at that location.
Volunteers should be prepared to be active! Locations are both outdoors and indoors. The confirmation email will give complete details about the location assignment and what to bring. T-shirts, snacks, and water will be provided to all volunteers.
Volunteers are invited to the finish-line festivities after their challenge is complete to cheer on the teams.
Please email our volunteer coordinator if you are interested in volunteering on Saturday, August 26 for The Most Amazing Race. Volunteers are needed from approximately 9:30am to 3:00pm.
Feel free to invite friends, family, and coworkers to volunteer with you. You’ll have the option to designate a group of volunteers so that you can all be placed in the same location.
