Want a day of adventure and fun without all the pressure of racing? Be a MOST Amazing Race volunteer on Saturday, Oct. 7! Race volunteers are needed to help at registration, the starting line, locations around St. Paul where racers will complete a challenge/task, and back at the finish line. We need nearly 125 volunteers each year to make this event run smoothly.

Who can volunteer?

Anyone who is ready to have fun and willing to be active. Volunteers should be at least 18 years of age. Kids ages 8 to 17 are welcome with an adult.

When are volunteers needed?

All of our volunteer needs have been met for the 2017 event.

Typically, volunteers can select from three shifts/locations. If you'd like to volunteer for the entire day, please sign up for both Como Park shifts.

  • 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Como Park Pavilion (FULL) - Volunteers will either help with team registration or with the set-up/judging of the starting line challenge.
  • 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. at challenge locations across St. Paul (FULL) - Volunteers will be assigned to a location in St. Paul where racers will come to complete a "challenge" or task. Volunteers will set-up and clean-up the challenge, judge teams as they complete the challenge, regulate team traffic, and even test the challenges themselves. We're able to accommodate your schedule if you aren't able to help out the entire time. Please specify your availability within the volunteer application.
  • 2 - 8 p.m. at Como Park Pavilion (FULL) - Volunteers will either help set-up/judge the final challenge or help with the finish line party. 

Snapshot of the day

Several days before the race, volunteers will receive an email with complete details and information. On race day, they meet our staff captain(s) at their assigned location.

Volunteers should be prepared to be active! Locations are both outdoors and indoors. The confirmation email will give complete details about the location assignment and what to bring. T-shirts, snacks, water, and gift bags will be provided to all volunteers.

Volunteers are invited to the finish-line festivities after their challenge is complete to cheer teams on and enjoy a free dinner. Our finish line will be at Como Park Pavilion, 1199 Midway Parkway, St. Paul, MN 55108. Some maps refer to it as the Midway Picnic Pavilions. View map.
